I would call this story a drama. It is in first person from the viewpoint of Scar’s friend. The story was easy reading, easy to understand, and believable. The beginning of the story reminds the reader of the tragedy of scar’s death. It was obvious that Scar’s best friend was distraught over Scar’s death and she was trying to make some sense out of it. She couldn’t understand why Scar stayed with Liam after Scar saw all the warning signs of violence. I like the way Scar’s friend analyzed and described why Scarlet wanted to be with Liam. There was a lot of psychological evaluation being done by Scar’s friend. It seems Scars own insecurity and low self-esteem set her up to be in an abusive relationship. Scar had no common sense when
