In A Single Shard the narrator shows how Tree-ear is intrigued in what the potter is doing, and wants to see more. Tree-ear wants to see more of the potters work and wants to keep coming back to watch the potter. Tree-ear sees that the potter is unhappy with the work he has done and keeps attempting it over and over again. Tree-ear doesn't understand why he keeps doing it again, since to him, it looks perfect every time. Also in A Single Shard, it isnt Tree-ears first time watching the potter.
He has changed in the same way as the rest of his club. He started out as an innocent, intelligent, trustable kid and turned evil and wicked, not thinking for anyone other than himself, trying to beat his first best, with everyone else in the club doing the same. His relationship with Cheryl also changed. They started dating, but near the end of the book, weren’t really sure where their relationship was at that point. How the principal and his parents thought of him also changed.

In the novel Out of the Dust by Karen Hesse, main character Billie Jo faces several challenging obstacles throughout her lifetime. Getting through these obstacles is the only way Billie Jo can learn to forgive her father as well as herself for their mistakes. Once she learns to stop feeling resentful, and let go, Billie Jo will be able to grow up. The first major challenge Billie Jo faces is when a fire breaks out in her home. The fire ignites when Billie Jo’s mother mistakes a pail of kerosene for water, where,“instead of making coffee, Ma [makes] a rope of fire”(87).
He couldn 't stand to stay at Min 's home at the same time, in the wake of acknowledging why he was at Min 's home, he persevered. Tree-ear had discovered that buckling down was advantageous for himself and Crane-man, since he was picking stuff from the trash loads. As he worked for Min, Min 's wife had gotten sustenance for him and Crane-man to eat. Working for Min offered him some assistance with becoming dynamic. He was caught up with cutting trees for Min and working for him, it made him get to be included in physical endeavors.

The character development is one of the most intriguing parts of the novel, as the reader is surprised again and again with the actions and connections of each figure. Tree-ear is an orphaned boy who lives in a small village on the West Coast of Korea and had a care-taker, Crane-man, that passed away. Tree-ear’s traits and personality changed throughout the book. Tree-ear’s features changed gradually from the beginning to the end.
As the novel goes on he begins getting in touch with their emotional and physical feelings. For example, Rat Kiley, he was a well known character in the book. He began having mental breakdowns throughout the book. He had seen his best friend get blown up, and then goes into shutdown mode. Rat keeps to himself not talking as much as he did, and walking away from the other guys.

Character Analysis When thinking of families most of the time its people you grew up with, and the culture you grew around. The story " A Pair of Tickets" () draws on what family and culture do to family 's and more importantly one person. June grows up in America where the culture to her is more familiar than that of her Chinese parents. While growing up she thought countless of times that the ways of her mother where strange and embarrassing, and at time she didn’t think of herself as truly to her heritage. Throughout the story June goes through different stages of grief, and finding herself when she truly thought she wasn’t a part of a culture.
Neil Gaiman creates a suspense, romantic and peaceful movie which surprises you throughout each scene. An important theme in the film Stardust is the quest for love that tests his ability to love and his courage in facing those who are enslaved to power. This leads Tristan on an adventure to find the star and prove his love to Victoria, but instead he falls in love with the star, Yvaine. In the movie the Caption in the cloud was Tristan 's guide while in the book the hairy man was his guide. The hairy man and the captain are fundamental to both the book and film on the grounds that without them it would have been significantly more troublesome for Tristan to make it all through his excursion.
