In Ray Bradbury’s “A Sound of Thunder,” the journey takes place in a futuristic place where time travel is possible. The character, Eckles, travels back in time to hunt a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Eckles is very disobedient to his guide, who highlights the rules he must follow since any little mistake can have a big impact in the future. The Guide tells Eckles to follow the path they created. If they don’t follow the path, nature will be affected. Unfortunately, Eckles decides to violate the rules and steps out of the path and steps on a butterfly, causing significant changes to the future. Eckles travels through time and space, when he comes back to the future he sees a sign that he had seen before traveling to the past, but with a different grammar. The sign said “TYME SEFARI INC. Traveling along US 90 from San Antonio to Big Bend is Naomi Shihab Nye's favorite road trip route. Since most Texans believe it is too hot to visit Big Bend in July, her family usually takes this vacation in July, which leaves the campground largely deserted.
