Aspiration can make you break a human soul. In the play “ A Streetcar name Desire “, it is a form that Blanche’s aspiration has broken her in the beginning of the play. Her mental breakdown was bound to happen toward the end of the play due to the previous behavior as well as the behavior of the other characters toward her, “ A Streetcar name Desire ” features a graduated descent into madness brought about my loss depression, financial, ruin, and the cruelty of others at first this so called madness is just an attempt. I tell what ought to be truth. ” ( IMDB.com ) .What I think Blanche is trying to say that she was fed up with her life she previously had. She was a wife, teacher, and a lover. She didn’t like the life she had before and felt unhappy. This is why she used her sexuality to get what she wanted and her attitude in life got her what she was portrayed in the book. She had one person that challenged her ways. His name was Stanley. He was a typical no nonsense guy ( especially that era ) that wanted to be cater to all the time. Stanley was always on Blanche. It even messed up her relationship with Mitch. Stanley even reminds Blanche what type of a person she is. Stanley goes on during the play about her. Eventually, Stanley takes advantage of Blanche’s mental state of mind and he rapes her. Finally, I feel as a human being we should know how to take care of ourselves. In the play “ Streetcar Named Desire ”, shows a woman named Blanche took advantage of what she had and used it for her benefit.
