Learning about space is difficult, but interesting. A Success in Space by Cameron Keady, and Comet probe may shed light on Earth’s past by Ashley Yeager. Both talk about the probe called the Philae lander, which landed on November 12, helped scientists take a big step forward in learning about space, it landed on comet 67P. The Philae mission was important for scientific research because it helped us figure out more of our solar system’s history, it helped us observe unique things about comet 67P, and it helped us achieve a massive achievement in space travel, being the first spacecraft to land on a comet. First, the Phiale mission revealed more about the history of our solar system. According to passage 2, paragraph 8, “By studying these hunks of rock, dust and ice, scientists hope to better understand the early history of our solar system—including Earth’s early years.” This evidence proves that the Philae mission helps us understand more of our solar system’s history because we examine the materials on the comet, which we can analyze to figure out more history, so without the exhibition to 67P, we wouldn’t have as much information about our early solar system. …show more content…

Next, the space mission to 67P helped us observe interesting things on the comet. Based on passage 1, paragraph 5, “It could reveal secrets about the makeup of comets, the formation of our solar system, and even the origins of life.” This proves that going to the comet helped us figure out things about 67P because the things found on it could reveal anything possible, so the 67P mission was a monumental achievement. Above all, the comet could reveal the secrets to our solar system, and even life itself. Finally, the trip to the comet was an amazing achievement in space
