"It 's difficult in times like these: ideals, dreams and cherished hopes rise within us, only to be crushed by grim reality,” (Anne Frank). Anne Frank, a young thirteen year old, wrote a diary, with deep quotes, about the Holocaust and her experiences as a young Jew. At the time she wrote her diary she was a kid learning life and making mistakes. Anne had always wanted to become a journalist so she followed her passion of becoming a journalist by writing in her diary (Abramson, 2007, p. 83). Her diary later became one of the most influential pieces of literature that changed people 's thoughts. During World War ll Anne Frank used thinking and communicating with clarity and precision to innovate a product that expressed her thoughts; created a diary that changed views of the world. Because she faced challenging hardships she illuminated the world by giving her thoughts about hiding away from the Nazis. Anne Frank faced many different challenges as a kid turning into a young woman. In fact, at thirteen years old Anne lived in Amsterdam, Netherlands. She lived in Amsterdam during World War ll, and was forced to live in a “Secret Annex” due to the invasion of the Nazis. This happened because Nazis were a German party who were prejudice about Jews (Abramson, 2007, p. 61). As the war went on the Secret Annex became quiet and bored.
