The Cleveland Browns returned to football in 1999 and have not been what Cleveland fans expected or desired. Cleveland’s team used to be one of the best teams in football, now they are just not. The Browns were once a powerhouse in the National Football League but have since fallen on hard times. Why are the Browns now unable to figure it all out.

The Browns named Paul Brown, the former coach of The Ohio State University, their first coach. During the Browns inaugural season the achieved a 12-2 record, and winning the league championship. “In 1949, the NFL announced it would merge with the AAFC taking the Browns and two other teams. One of the other teams accepted into the NFL would be the AAFC Championship Game opponent the San Francisco 49ers.
