Have you ever felt distracted, frustrated, not being able to control your mood.? Now on top of that being told something's wrong with you. People with ADHD feel that 24/7. There has been a lot of research about if the drugs to help people with ADHD and if it's effective or not. But I believe it is, so many people including myself know that it is. Yes some of the drugs can cause side effects but you just have to find what works for you. The drugs stimulates the brain helping them better, and it usually has good effects. Also so many people have success stories about how they struggled but once they found the medication it helped so much. The medication can help stimulates the brain, plus ADHD can make things harder especially for kids, and there …show more content…

On your own people can have many problems but the stimulates have been proven effective. For people with ADHD the things that are affected is dopamine and norepinephrine. Which those are located in the nervous system. This is the part of the brain region for attention, decision making and impulse control but in ADHD brains this is the part that something's not quite right. The stimulates improve a person's attention, the ability to absorb information, it can improve self esteem and improve that person's academics. And without it simple little tasks can become extremely hard for a person with ADHD. According to Biological Psychiatry the stimulants are “fine tuning” neuron activity in the prefrontal cortex. In this part of the brain it helps filter out distractions and helps to focus. Also according to the University of Wisconsin they found that methylphenidate helps “fine tune” the part of the brain where decision making, impulse control and attention. It affects no other part of the brain. From something that I was told when I was being explained how these medication works was your brain is like and orchestra and the stimulate is the conductor making sure everything moves together.
