I view education as a new adventure we embark on to deepen our understanding of our passion to reach our desired outcomes. I am an aspiring case worker, professor, and school counselor, I will continue to dedicate my life to understanding human behavior and positive impacts in our community. Despite my dad's emotional absence in my life, his lesson to rely on myself rather than on others was essential, a skill I had to form in response to his lack of accountability and presence. He has led me to constantly practice research since childhood, regardless of the subject. How else can one assure the quality of a purchased item or verify the accuracy of information provided by others, without thorough research? These are the main reasons I picked my major because to be a professor and counselor is to educate everyone properly and help everyone in that classroom achieve their goals no matter who they are I believe as long as a professor creates a lesson plan that is easy to understand everyone will learn some information. I've observed situations in which students had to take additional, non-essential courses for their degrees, because of inaccurate advice from school counselors. The same goes for a case worker: if the evidence isn't properly analyzed and isn't factual information, there will be discrepancies at the conclusion of the case.
