I. INTRODUCTION In 2015, the Sex Offender Registration Act (Penal Code section 290) is a California sex offender registration statute. Section 290 was intended to promote the state interest in controlling and preventing recidivism in sex offenders. In addition, it serves an important public purpose by compelling registration of sex offenders who were violent and required public surveillance. This statute gave judges the choice to enforce registration on an adult who has non-forcible vaginal sex with a 16 year old or older.
“Teenager’s Jailing Brings a Call to Fix Sex Offender Registries,” is an article written by Julie Bosman, and published by the New York Times Newspaper. The article is written about a 19-year-old named Zachery Anderson who is listed on a sex offender registry for life. The cause of this was talking to an under aged female through a dating app called “Hot or Not.” Although, Zachary Anderson did not know that the girl who had lied about her being 17, was actually 14, he later plead guilty to what had happened. Reading this newspaper article had me thinking about all sorts of things, whether it was about the fact that Zachary had sex with a female who was under the age of consent in Michigan or the fact that he was put on the sex offender registry.
According to the article called” Psychopathy traits and parental dysfunction in sexual offending and general delinquent adolescent males” by Jason D. Netland and Michael H. This can inform their children who to stay away from, or what places to stay away from. Keeping sex offenders name private will increase the offender’s ability to reoffend. Sex offenders who feel embarrassed should have thought about the consequences beforehand. The offenders never think they will get taught. Once a criminal commits a crime their rights as a citizen
All sex offender are required to wear a satellite monitoring devices to locate their location. It has been establishing by the law that once a sex-offender is release from prison that he or she will have to be monitor for the rest of their lives. However, the sex-offender register is in place for the safety of the offender and the community. Because of the nature of this crime, it is untreatable due to a mindset that only the offender can free themselves from when they allow a therapy to help. I am not concerned with a drug dealer or murder because a drug dealer can not focus themselves upon a person unless that person has a desire for the drug and a murder may have committed their crime in order to protect themselves or they lost themselves
The level of intensity should be matched to gain the best results possible. The higher the risk, the more time and specialization is needed to tackle their issues. This should paint a picture of the number of resources everyone will require for rehabilitation. Supervision should target very specific criminogenic needs of these sex offenders. Treatment should always be tailored for each individual offender for it to work for their needs.

It is said that the mother of the teenager girl reported her daughter’s boyfriend to the local authorities because she wanted the couple to stop having sex. The mother was unaware of the affects she would cause by doing so, she thought the local authorities would just speak to the boy, but instead the pursed a case against Frank with charges of statutory rape. The sex offered law should be changed for people that are in the same situation as frank.
I think that decreasing sexual violence in prisons relies upon the corporation of the facility and staff. One way to decrease the sexual violence is the screen the staff better. This is due to the fact that, among state and federal prison inmates 2.4% (34,100) reported an incident involving facility staff. While the percentages seem low they vary from place to place and every little decrease could help. The main thing, that I think that facility and staff could do in order to help is to pay special attention to certain inmates.
