James. M Pherson really knows his facts about president Abraham Lincoln. He focused more on Lincoln’s efforts to win the war instead of the other political things he accomplished during his presidency. Lincoln was a great commander-in-chief because he attempted to run the war and also maintain political stability at the same time. This was impressive because although he had no military experience, he was persistent in provoking his commanders to stay active and to always strive for victory.
George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were great presidents but i believe that Abraham Lincoln was far better. He abolished slavery and held the country together during one of it's hardest times and doing all this with the pressure of an entire country relying on him. But it would have been better if he wasn't killed during his term I beleive that if he wouldn't have died America would be doing a lot better then it is now Lincoln would have been an amazing president if he didn't die he probably would have served another term or two. Abraham Lincoln; a Bad President Intelligent, beloved, caring, motivated, honest. All words many Americans associate with our 16th President, Abraham Lincoln. Very few people are bold or valiant enough to openly speak out against the president. Their arguments consist mainly of the fact he “emancipated” the slaves. However, Lincoln did not do this.
The best president was Theodore Roosevelt. The four qualifications that justify this are: military experience, effective communication skills, large support for environmental conservation, and his ability to accomplish major goals and legislation from the beginning to the end of his presidency. Roosevelt was not a perfect president, but for being the youngest president at the time, he served in many political and military positions that made him a brilliant leader and one of the best U.S. presidents. A president who has former military experience provides valuable insight to strategy and diplomacy.
In America we have had many presidents, they have done their job to get America this far. I would have to say that president Ronald Reagan would be my choice in who I think was the best President. When president Reagan was elected on November 4, 1980 he was the oldest man ever elected at the age of 69.

Have you ever notice how people say “ The United States of America” like it was the best country in the whole world? I pretty much agree with that. People see the United States as if it was perfect, however, they never knew or know much about who are the heroes that helped our nation to be that perfect.
