Growing Up To Be The Next President.
Abraham Lincoln is the only President in American history to hold a patent. Abe Lincoln was fascinating to many people because he was kind-hearted, believable, brave, faithful, etc. He put himself out there so others could stay safe. Abraham Lincoln was a 16th President of United States of America. He was President till being assassination. Abraham Lincoln had a terrible childhood living in a cabin, which led to his marriage with Mary Todd Lincoln, then him becoming our 16th President.
Abraham Lincoln had a rough childhood, His mother died when he was nine. And his father making them move several times from Kentucky to Indiana. Abraham Lincoln was raised by Nancy Lincoln and Thomas Lincoln. He lived with his two siblings, Sarah Lincoln Grigsby and Thomas Lincoln Jr. They all lived together in a log cabin, in Kentucky. His father was uneducated but successful Kentucky farmer. While his mom was a seamstress -working on clothes for a living- she didn’t enjoy it but it put food on the table. The two soon to be lovebirds met in Politics in 1840, when Mary Todd Lincoln was twenty-one and he was thirty-one. Mary soon fell in love with the tall, gangly and kind Lincoln. Even though her family objected it automatically. Mary didn’t listen to a word they said. Mary accepted his proposal of marriage, but however, he broke it off in early 1841. The split however only lasted until fall of 1842 when they resumed their engagement. Mary supported his political career, even when Lincoln received death threats daily.
