On February 12,1809 there was a boy born in a one room log cabin. His name was Abraham Lincoln. Abraham Lincoln was born in Hodgenville , Kentucky Sinking spring Nolin Creek where he was born and raised until 2 years after, his family then moved a 230 acre place at Knob creek 10 miles where he was born and raised. When Young Abraham was 6 he then attended a log school house. When Young Abraham was still 6 he no longer was going to attend school in Kentucky anymore, in December his family crossed the Ohio River and settled back by Indiana.On 1818 Nancy Hanks Lincoln (Abraham’s mom) is killed by “milk sickness”. In June 1840 Lincoln then argues his first case before the Illinois Supreme Court. On November 4th 1842 Abraham Lincoln 30 years old, marries Mary Todd in Springfield, Kentucky. On August 1st 1843, Abraham’s first child, is born. Abraham names his first child Robert Todd Lincoln. On March 10th,1846 Abraham Lincoln’s 2nd son is born. They name him Edward Baker Lincoln. On 1849 May 22nd Abe is granted the U.S. Patent Number 6,469 (and is then said to be the only president granted the patent.)He is 37 when this happened.On December 21st 1850, his 3rd son is born, they name him Willie Wallace Lincoln. On January 17th 1851, Abraham’s dad Thomas Lincoln dies. On April 4th 1853, his fourth son is born in memory they name his fourth son Thomas (Tad) Lincoln. On 1856 May 29th, Lincoln helps get organized the new Republican Party for Illinois. In May 1858 Lincoln wins a murder case using an almanac. On 1860 March 16th, Lincoln gives an impassioned speech about slavery in New Haven, Connecticut. On April 12,1861 The Confederate weapons open and fire at Fort Sumner in Charlestown Harbor at 4:30 a.m. the Civil War then takes place. On April 17,1861 Virginia secedes from the Union. On August 6,1861 President Lincoln signs a law freeing all slaves. On February 20,1862 Abe’s son Willie dies at the age of 11. On April 16,1862 Lincoln signs an Act abolishing slavery. On September 22,1862 President Lincoln then signs the Emancipation Proclamation, which would free all slaves.On 1863 President Lincoln signs the Gettysburg Address and gives one of the most famous speeches of all time. On June 18,1864 President Lincoln is then nominated for his 2nd term as President of the United States. On April 9,1865 the Civil War ends when General Robert E.
