As a three-year letterman and Senior Captain of the Vermilion Sailor Varsity Football Team, I have learned how to collaborate with others in order to achieve a common goal. Being apart of a team has had an extremely positive influence on my life and my development as a person. I have learned to be an effective leader, work well under pressure, manage my time, and most importantly, be able to put the team before myself. Outside of school and athletics, I have also set aside time to work a part-time job and take part in making my community a better place. I have held my current job with the City of Vermilion Recreation Department for the last three years. Additionally, I intend to receive a diploma of service at graduation showing leadership and initiative in my community by completing more than fifty hours of community service. I have participated as a volunteer in programs such as Vermilion Sailor Youth Football Camp, Operation Christmas Joy, Military Care Packages, Relay for Life, Vermilion Food Pantry, Salvation Army, and Vacation Bible
