The American Dream is a highly believed in idea. Some people get lucky and achieve the dream quite quickly and easily. On the other hand, others never actually attain the dream. Sometimes people make decisions based on their emotions instead of what would benefit them the most. The life situation you are born into does not matter but it requires a lot of work to make it happen. The American Dream will not be achieved by the people who don’t strive and put the effort and time to earn the dream. Some roles that play into effect when striving for The American Dream are a person’s work ethic, if they get lucky, adaptability, how a person handles setbacks, and how a person makes their decisions. They need to have a good work ethic, they would need to work hard and put a lot of blood sweat and tears. If they lack a good work ethic the dream becomes nearly impossible. Luck isn’t required to achieve the dream but any bit of luck can benefit the person and can speed up the process of achieving the dream. A person needs to be able to adapt in order to succeed because it allows the person to be ahead of their peers. Setbacks can determine if a person will ever achieve the dream. If they let a setback get the best of them than they will never achieve it. This is meant to show why some people achieve the dream while other don’t. People should make important decisions on what benefits them the most rather than letting their emotions get the best of them. A lot is required of the person in order to achieve the American Dream.
