Greek Mythology ISU Achilles and Aeneas are two Greek mythology heroes who have been in various amounts of big events in history. Achilles was mostly immortal apart from his heel. He was one of the main participants in the Trojan War. Aeneas was a Trojan hero who was in roman mythology as well. Aeneas was also in the Trojan War and was one of the few soldiers that did not die. One of the most amazing people in Greek mythology is Achilles. Achilles parents were Thetis and Peleus. When Achilles mom wanted to make him immortal she brought him to the river Styx and when she dipped him in the water, she had a tight grip on his ankle not allowing any water to touch the skin. This made Achilles heel the only vulnerable spot for damage to be done. When he was 9 years old a seer predicted he would die heroically in battle against the Trojans. When his mom heard of this she had disguised him as a girl and sent him to live in Aegean island of Skyros. Achilles was meant to be …show more content…

Aeneas’s parents were Anchises and Aphrodite. Aeneas is in both Roman and Greek mythology. Aeneas was a demi god because his mother was a mortal but his father wasn’t. Aphrodite took him to nymphs on Mount Ida and directed them to raise Aeneas until he was 5 years old, after the five years he was brought back to Anchises to be raised. Aeneas was a noble man and was also a Trojan soldier. In the Trojan War Aeneas was protected by Aphrodite and was also helped by Apollo and Poseidon who usually favour the Greeks. He was one of the few soldiers that stayed alive during the Trojan War. In the war Aeneas was wounded by Diomedes and would have died if Apollo didn’t save him, Apollo removed him from the battle and sent him to citadel where his temple was.
