Convincing or persuading an audience to do something is one of the fundamental purposes of commercials and advertisements. The result is typically purchased with that program. To do this, marketers may produce commercials that showcase certain goods or services, offer discount coupons, or publicize flash deals. State Farm does a tremendous job with its commercials in those aspects. The Bath Bomb commercial specifically makes it easy to describe, uses an argument, proves the argument, uses strategic cues, shows the purpose, the importance of setup (body language), and shows American culture in the commercial.

This commercial's persuasiveness is shown for an argument. The argument shows that other insurance companies accept personal information for their customers. State Farm is trying to tell possible buyers that other insurance companies will have buyers provide personal information that could be a con with other insurance companies. Jake from State Farm tells NFL quarterback Patrick Mahomes that he does not have to be personal with State Farm as his insurance company. Stating that in the commercial, gives the customers clarity to not have to spend time and share their personal parts of their life. Also, by saying customers do not have to be personal makes the customers think the plan is simple. The argument was shown by Jake from State Farm telling Mahomes that State Farm does not require personal information and ending the commercial with the company's tagline, telling the audience that the company will be there to help and/or support the customers.
Advertising frequently emphasizes the advantages the service or products may provide the consumer. The purpose of this ad was to show what State Farm’s Personal Price Plan entails. The State Farm Bath Bomb commercial gives a reason for persuasiveness. That reason is that State Farm was trying to include one of their Personal Price Plans inside the commercial. The American culture shown in the State Farm Bath Bomb commercial is the people that are chosen to be in the ad and the environment. Choosing NFL Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes to star in the State Farm commercial is exactly how American culture is used. The NFL is a program that is popular all across the world/America and Mahomes is well known in that department. Having Mahomes involved gives persuasiveness that American culture is influenced by. The environment used in this State Farm commercial showed a fitness gym and room for athletes. Gyms, fitness places, weight rooms, etc. are all over the United States and are what American athletes use
