the first female to be hung in Louisiana was Ada LeBoeuf. She was convicted of murder in 1927. Ada LeBoeuf murdered James LeBoeuf along with the help of Thomas dreher. She and Thomas had planned to get rid of poor James because with her husband around Ada and Thomas they could not openly show their love for each other. Ada led her husband into a trap by inviting him on a moonlit boat ride at lake Palourde, but when he arrived he soon found out Thomas had hired a gunman to kill James who's name was coincidentally also James, James Beadle fired a pair of shots from a shotgun and killed James LeBoeuf.
