Adam Lanz The Sandy Hook Elementary School Massacre

On a disastrous day in December, Adam Lanza shot and killed 27 people, one of which included his own mother. There were hundreds of components to why we think Lanza did this, but no one will know the full truth. This is just a small detail of what happened, and the aftermath of the Sandy Hook School Shooting.

20-year-old Adam Lanza lived with his 52-year-old mother, Nancy Lanza until December 14, 2012, when he broke into a school and killed 26 people. “...Lanza never gave anyone any indication that he would one day turn a gun on his mother and then storm his one-time grade school with a semiautomatic rifle…” On December 14, 2012, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Adam Lanza pulled up to the Sandy Hook Elementary School, and shot a window to let himself in. He walked to where the office was and a secretary and the principal were standing there. They confronted him, and asked him to leave, in return, he shot both of them. He walked to a classroom that 15 kids, around the age of six and seven, a teacher, and a teacher's aide, and shot all of them. He then made his way to another classroom, with five kids, and a teacher and teacher’s aide. The teacher had hidden her students in the closet and tried to convince Lanza that her kids were at the auditorium, which was at the other side of the school. He didn’t believe her and shot her and the aide, causing the six kids to run out of the closet to attempt to flee. After unfortunately shooting the six kids, he took his own life when he heard the police sirens at the school. The massacre only lasted eleven
