Adaptive Driving Beam Analysis

178 Words1 Pages
Adaptive driving Beam is a lighting system which automatically switches the driving beam pattern to low during driving when it detects object or car coming from the other lane coming towards the car. It helps prevent light beams from being directed toward proceeding or oncoming cars and at the same time maintaining good visibility for the safety of the driver. When the car is near preceding or oncoming vehicles, the on-board camera will detect them. The lighting is automatically adjusted in response to another vehicle that was being detected. It will change the light pattern to block the light where the vehicle is located. Figure 2.2 gives a brief explanation on how the ADB system works when the car is on the road at night.
