After conducting my dream log, I have been able to remember my dreams and analyze them. Not only have I been able to connect my dreams with my personal life, but also with the information we have been learning in class. The information that we learned in class, such as adaptive theory and restorative theory. I believe these pertain to most all humans. Adaptive theory is when we sleep at night to keep out of danger and restorative theory is that sleep is necessary for physical health. We all need sleep which is why restorative theory pertains to all humans, but the reason why I said most humans is because some people like to stay up late and be risk takers. I remembered 10 out of 14 of the dreams that I dreamt each night. Although we do dream multiple times each night, I only remembered one for each of the 10 nights. I started the dream log on Friday and remembered a dream from Saturday night. My dream was that I went on a family vacation with my mom’s side of the family. We stayed a a resort and the night we arrived there we went downtown to eat dinner. I don’t know where the exact location was. After looking up my dream meanings I found why I dreamt what I dreamt. I dreamt going on a vacation because I was stressed and needed to get away. I went to dinner with my family because I feel cared for when I am with them and eating symbolizes that positivity will come my way.
