Coyotes are known for thriving and adapting different kind of habitats including grassland, foothills, open prairies, and desert ("Coyote | National Geographic", 2015). Currently, most of them can be found in North America, desert of Canada, Mexico and Central America ( Bradford,2017). After human intervention in coyotes’ habitat, they begin to adapt and survive in cities like Los Angeles and even New York. For Coyote, a good habitat need abundant prey. Coyote, as a kind of predator, will capture any small animal including mice, rats, gophers, mountain beavers, rabbits, and squirrels, also snakes, lizards, frogs, fish, birds, and carrion. Photosynthetic Organisms, the primary producers, like different kind of vegetation have “bottom-up effects” on coyote prey. The seasonal change of vegetation in different type is proved to affect coyote’s st frequent prey items (Seamster, Waits, Macko, & Shugart, 2014). Herbivores, obviously, have strong relationship with coyotes as primary food source. Usually, coyotes will choose habitat will abundant of small animals like mountain beavers and rats and paired coyotes or a pack a coyote relay on deer or antelope. For juvenile coyotes, they regard grasshoppers and other insects as food ("Coyotes - Living with Wildlife | Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife", 2018). Wolves also play a big role in coyote’s life. Although these two species have same ancestor, they are competitors and enemies. The existence of wolf could be one major element to limit the population of coyote since some wolves will prey coyotes. The limitation of the coyote’s population is very important since if the number of coyotes increase drastically, the food resources might not be enough to feed such number of coyotes so that the coyote will face the drastic decreasing of its population due to the lack of
