My teacher has mentioned several times about how a topic we were talking about in class pertain to certain diagnoses such as OCD, ADHD, and Depression. I can relate to most of the things he has mentioned about ADHD. ADHD has had a profound effect on my personality and on how people viewed me. The treatment for ADHD has made significant differences in his life. I was just five years old when I was diagnosed with ADHD. As a result of having ADHD, I was very wired up in kindergarten. My teacher had a conference with my mom and discussed some of the problems I had in school. She mentioned the following: I would not sit for more than a minute or two before I was running around the room; I could not stop myself from talking to my classmates in the middle of class, and I was a huge distraction to other kids. The implementation of daily medication resulted in my induction into the National Juniors Honor Society during my last year in middle school. In my ninth and tenth grade year, Had the pleasure of participating in a Criminal Justice and Homeland Security Academy at a high school; it was the first year of certain academies being placed at different high schools around the city. Now as a junior in high school, I take two advanced placement classes, one honors class, and will be finishing my first semester of dual enrollment in college soon. In all, I take ten classes, which is way too many for a kid my age, but I am succeeding. Hopefully, by the time I graduate from high school, I will graduate with an Associate of Science Degree, too. My doctor said that I was doing quite well in school even though I have ADHD. ADHD will no longer have a large effect on my life. By the time I have reached adulthood, I hope to no longer show in effects of ADHD. I will be an FBI agent or a CIA agent reaching my various goals in life ADHD
