Tell me about yourself?
I have been studying Materials Science for the past seven years; currently I am working towards my PhD at Northeastern University.
My most recent experience is my current research, where I am focused on plastic deformation induced phase transformation. I came up with a unique way to enhance phase transformations. I have gained valuable experiences such as materials processing, finite element modeling and different materials characterizing methods for example SEM, XRD, DSC and TGA
I am motivated and creative always looking to learn more, I really enjoy working in a team.
What I am looking for now is to use my experiences in a relevant job, learn more and develop my career goals.
How do you handle pressure?

As I have started my studies at collage I was fascinated by how a materials engineer can change materials property by selecting proper processing methods. By achieving better materials we can remove lots of barriers which we are currently facing in the engineering world. The other interesting aspect of this major is the fact that it is multi-disciplinary and one can work in different research groups. That is why I decided to pursue a graduate level study in this major, to learn more about this …show more content…
I can analyze peaks and work with different software to characterize each peak.
Tell me more about melt-spinning project?
This project was to obtain glass metals using melt spinning method. I used different conditions to optimize the process. I was able to get 100% amorphous FINEMET alloy with great magnetic properties. The reason why we used melt-spinning method is that it is a rapid solidification method which enables us to achieve high cooling rates which is the key for processing glass metals.
Why did you choose Materials Science?
I was always good at Physics and Chemistry when I was at high school, I found out one of the majors that fit me the best is materials science.
