I have a unique background that most people have never experienced. My parents divorced when I was little. My mom was poor and my dad was wealthy. At my mom's house we lived off food stamps and didn’t have running hot water. At my dad's house, he drove an Audi and we ate out every night. This taught me life lessons of being appreciative and adaptable. Do not get me wrong, I loved and enjoyed my childhood. In fact, I never saw my life as less. I saw my life as more. I have a greater understanding of socioeconomic classes. I chose to get a double major in Film and Media Production and Business Management. I chose Film because I have always loved movies. My love of movies was sparked when I was a little kid at the video store. I would plop in the VHS tape and watch movies all night. Most of all, I hope to gain knowledge and experience that I can apply to my film career. Ideally, I would like to be a producer in two to five years. I know this is unlikely in this time span, but I am still going to pursue my dreams. I hope to receive an entry level job so that I can move up the corporate ladder. I think producing fit my skill set. I am passionate, diligent and detail-oriented. I think I am good at arranging things in a polite and respectful manner. Producers are the leaders that keep the whole operation moving effectively and on time. I anticipate the financial aspect to be the most challenging. However, I have no problem paying for what I believe to be an investment. Cannes is an invite only film festival, and it would be an amazing adventure to go to France on an internship and be immersed in the most famous film festival on
