Later, new evidence of DNA being involved showed that there was none of Adnan’s DNA found. With this information, they decided to drop the case. With this news, Adnan is set free and out of jail. This was in October 2022. Yet some people think that Syed should still be in prison even though DNA is proving he can be free and was not at all involved in the murder of Hae Min Lee. When Syed was freed from jail, Hae Min Lee’s brother wasn’t there. So, the family wants Syed back in jail because they still have reason to believe that Syed murdered Hae Min Lee.
