To fully explore technology solutions available, we first need to understand basic terms with regards to disability and technology. ICF model launched by the World Health Organization in 2001 describes a disability as the situation that affects individual in case a gap exists between a person capabilities and environmental factors and this gap affects quality of a life and hinders fullest exploitation of the individual potential. (Craddock, 2003) Disability affects people in range of ways, generally the disability creates limitations that are hard to overcome for an individual. It creates a barrier in performing various task in daily life. Disabled people may feel as outsiders because they are not capable of doing certain things other people can. However, in today’s world we can use technology solutions to aim number of disabilities in order to minimalize disability of an individual. Professor Steven Hawking is the former Professor of Mathematics at the University of Cambridge and theoretical physics and cosmology scientist. Hawking is regarded as one of the most brilliant theoretical physicists since Einstein. In 1963 Hawking contracted motor neurone disease, since then he has been left without motor senses in his body. He was given 2 years of life, but that did not happen. Instead Intel Labs worked closely with him on technology solutions that are used by many all over the world. Professor Stephen is using a wheelchair which is controlled by the sensor on his cheek muscle, when sensor detects the movement the computer picks up a signal which allows him to control a wheelchair through the mouse pointer on the screen, which is attached to the chair in the way that Stephen can have clear view of it.(iQ Intel Labs,
