The government allocates health care funds in order to improve health care services in the country. The funds are injected towards health care facilities purposely to provide free health care services for their citizens. Even though the service is free, there are advantages and disadvantages associated with it. The question is as to what are the advantages and disadvantages of government providing free health care service for their citizens. This essay will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of Government providing free health care services for their citizens.
The first advantage of government providing free health care services is that these services are free of cost. The government provides free services such as general medications, tests carried out by doctors to identify the cause of sickness and provides other equipment such as nebulizers for asthmatic patients. Thus, these free health services are affordable for the people.
