Is Iowa State or Iowa a better team? Both teams are good in sports and have excellent colleges but when it comes down to it, I believe Iowa State is a better team because of their teamwork, conference and players that make up the team. Credit to Iowa for adjusting with new players, especially freshman. I think they’ve done a really good job basketball and football wise, but Iowa State has the mobility that makes them the better team.

Everyone is involved. Iowa State junior quarterback Joel Lanning has thrown passes to 20 different players during the 2016 football year. Lanning was proficient, completing 99 of his 169 passes for a percentage of 58.6. Iowa State also has one of the best wide receivers in the nation, junior Allen Lazard. Lazard had 69 receptions in his junior year and has the 3rd best receiving yards among FBS players. However, Iowa quarterback C.J Beathard threw for more yards, completing 170 out of his 301 attempts for a 56.5%. It’s not all about one player for the Iowa State men’s basketball team. Point guard Monte Morris has gotten 666 assists in his four years at Iowa State, making him the all-time assist leader. Guards Nazareth Mitrou-Long and Deonte Burton have been active as well for a combined percentage of 87.6% from the field goal range. The Cyclones have also been doing really well with their bench players. Donovan Jackson and Solomon Young combine for a percentage of 99.8% from the field goal range and 73.2% from the 3 point range.
