Because of the fact that there is a lack of enough parties to sustain the growing diversity of needs, many people are having to compromise their ideology to vote. While the goal of the two-party system is to simplify the voting process for the voters, it can not accomplish this due to the very definitions that makes two-party system up. Because there is a limited number of parties, each combination of ideas and policies the voter has in mind will not be supported entirely by one of the party. For instance, “a voter who supports the view of one party on a topic but supports the view of the other party on another topic is forced to compromise one of his views” making it harder for the voter to pick a side, according to a trusted Indian MBA exam preparatory website, TestFunda (“A Comparison of Political Systems”). With more variety, the voter has a better chance at not compromising all their ideals.
In short, there is a lack of positive interpretations of Congress from the several people listed raging from students to political experts. The framers of the Constitution did not predict such negative backlash, considering that they gave Congress an extensive list of powers and the ability to implement express powers through the Necessary and Proper Clause. Originally a vital part of the nation, it has fallen in stature due to its complicated institution. Legislation is not quick, bills can be time consuming, ordinary people can be left out, bills can disappear, and it all paints a negative light for the public. Congress has also been overshadowed by the president on several critical occasions.

The United States was founded on the belief that the country would be democratically based. The Framers constructed Congress to uphold and demonstrate those beliefs for the country as a whole. They manufactured Congress the way that it is to ensure that the government would not occupy sizable amounts of power. In today’s society, Congress does not act like a true democratic governmental faction due to the lack of fear in elections, the way Congress is operated, and the lack of representing the constituency opinion in how they vote towards policies. Interest groups are a group of people that seeks to influence public policy on the basis of a particular common interest or concern. They are an organized group that tries to influence the government to adopt certain policies or measures. The interest groups in the Texas government gives Texans a way to speak their opinions and to provide political ideas. By doing this, interest groups give texas citizens a chance to express their ideas and thoughts that the Texas government might actually consider.
David Frendlich Overview Campaign Finance has been a key issue for candidates and voters in recent elections, with more attention going towards the source of campaign funding. The “Super PAC” is a product of the 2010 Supreme Court Decision: Citizens United v. FEC. The court case focused on dealing with corporate entities as independent citizens with free speech rights. The 5-4 ruling held that freedom of speech prohibits the government from restricting independent expenditures for communications by nonprofits, corporations, unions, and others. With “Super PAC”, money being a make or break in the candidate’s performance in achieving national attention, and in turn, votes in elections.
Big powerful special interest groups have interfered with politicians’ decision to do what’s right; it appears that the political system has become corrupted and money plays a big role in their decision and money is very influential in getting the legislators to pass bills. Overall, it can be debated that Congress is not statistically or proportionately representative of the general population, and its citizenry. Although there has been an increase the notion of identity politics, there is a theoretical hurdle that must be passed in the form of the demands that are inherent to the nomination and selection process, which, most significantly carry a financial aspect that the general lay person, may not be able to tackle. Furthermore, it can be argued that although someone does not share the same characteristics of a given group from the United States population that they will be less effective in representing the challenges and needs of said group. For example, the mere fact that a Congresswoman may be involved on a certain issue dealing with female rights may not necessarily translate to a Congressman being weaker in defending or supporting the same issue. Although there has been an increase in the diversity that is held in Congress, I do not feel as though there is strong correlation to representation.
In today 's world, political parties and interest groups play a prominent role in the democratic system. Democracy can be defined for the people, of the people and by the people so it comes as no surprise that political parties and interest group would play a supporting role in this decision. Although political party and interest groups are different they both play similar role in our federation such as sharing the same goal, influencing people and linking us closer to the political party and those in office. Each group consist of an organized group of people working towards a specific goal. Even though there are similarities, each serves a different purpose.

America is known by many to be the best countries in the world but there are still many things that stand in the way of the american dream (Stealing From America). Nowadays unions and protest have been much less successful in stopping the behemoth that is a corporate lobbying team(Secular Talk). Corporation will continue to grow wealth inequality in america if we do nothing about it.
