Introduction Telehealth, by definition, is technology or digital technology that is used in the healthcare field to manage a patient’s health and well-being. The devices that can be used are mobile devices such as tablets smartphones and computers. Of course, in this telehealth world there can be some advantages and disadvantages. According to our textbook although using telebehavioral health (TBH) have some similarities as in-person sessions, technology can be an issue. John was necessary because he was hospital bound but he still needed to attend his sessions to meet his goals. I chose the doxy me for his telehealth session. Doxy me is easy to use, free, and HIPPA compliant. Mr. John was working on his behavior towards medical staff. He tend to be very agitated towards his nurses and doctors because he thought he was not getting adequate care. The modality that I was using with Mr. John was self-control therapy. Self-control therapy is one that allows a person to do some impulsive control training by using certain techniques to change a behavior. For example Mr. John and I were working on how to advocate for himself without using abusive language. Using this technology allow us to connect through videoconferencing and still continue our sessions. Clinical effectiveness, cost effectiveness, patient and provider acceptance, and safety of these services have all gained some preliminary support in the literature, and there are still numerous large-scale non-inferiority trials ongoing. Bringing all of these barriers to light can help to strengthen the telehealth software. This can be seen as a strength instead of a weakness. The true weakness that may have displayed is in software study. It was not done with practitioners and patients but with the heuristic evaluation and a rating scale . Even though this is a weakness using heuristic evaluations can be a valuable resource for designers and usability experts to improve their user interfaces and develop better user experiences.
