I am interested in the Harcum EFDA program therefore I am looking to enhance my knowledge and skills as a dental professional. By attending the program I will get the opportunity to share experience with other students. The program will also help me to prepare for becoming an EFDA and allow me to learn and explore all the tasks I will need to complete. I am very excited to apply to Ronald Reagan. I have fallen in love with the school after seeing it first hand. The school is very pleasant and comfortable. I have met many alumnus from Ronald Reagan who have only positive things to say about the school and its courses. My friend, Margarita Sanchez, is a former student of Ronald Reagan who is encouraging me to attend the school because of its great academic curriculum.
Resident Assistants serve many purposes and play many roles in the community. They help to build and promote a supportive and active community within their residence hall and across the campus, and offer support and guidance to their residents. This aids in making Geneseo feel more like home and a community rather than simply a school. RAs enforce Geneseo and Department of Student Life rules, while also being a more easily accessible and less intimidating resource to other students in need of help. I want to be an RA so that I can become more involved in the Geneseo community in a positive way, by helping and representing other students.
If a person’s parent or guardian drilled the idea of college into your head, or if they told you ‘do what you want’ or ‘I don 't care’, or ‘You’re not going’. While college is great, there are other means of education. The value of college is a low because there are people who do not qualify for a college education, and also because there are other ways of post-secondary education other than college. College is not valuable because many people will not make it into a 2 or 4-year college, much less graduate from one. The college has helped me in many ways not only with my education. One example of this is I have been able to work the whole time that I have been attending classes. This allowed me to save enough money that now when I transfer to NIU in January with my associates degree, I will be able to pay for it in full without taking out student loans. This was one of my fears be for going into college was that I was going to be in debt after. ECC has helped my accomplish at least two of my goals while I was here, get a good education and not have to take out a student loan.
High school graduates are starting to feel that they must go to college. Students are consistently being bombarded with different ideas of what to do after high school, most of which require some type of schooling or degree. Instructors and counselors commonly persuade students to think that we only have one option to be successful with a college degree. College might not be for everyone! From my research, I found many articles on reasons why people go to college, reasons they do not go to college, and statistics on going and not going to college.
