Many people who lives in Hawaii have their first language than just English, and they want to keep their first language. For the people who was born in Hawaii would be hard to maintain their first language, because they would learn English first than their home language. Also, people who around me are keep telling me that learn many languages as you can. Most of the people who want me to keep my first language said if you keep your first language, you will use them even you grow up, and when you are looking for a job, that would help you. They are mostly adult, and they are all older than me. So, it make sense that they can say that, because they have done for the steps. But every time I heard that, I wondered would that actually help me. About 40%(http://www.kacla.org/uploads/2/3/6/6/23665151/pasted-image-4_orig.png) of people who live in Korea can speak or read English, but I know that about 50% of them can actually communicate with American (because of the accent and the culture is different than the book that sells in Korea.). Because only few people can communicate with American. People who cannot speak English but if they need to communicate with American people(like a big company) pay for the people who can communicate with American for translation. There is a job that people who translate English and Korean and get paid from many people. So it is useful for me to learn English. Now, I can definitely say it can help my life. Although I don’t like to go out and play, when I use internet to do things, I can communicate with two different people from other country, and people who are older than me and able to speak English and Korean can actually help me studying. It is more helpful than just listening to teacher speaking
