The importance of residency type is a significant factor that families always consider when planning where they plan to live. The three different elements that I want to discuss on renting vs. owning are pricing, maintenance, and relocation. It is a great idea to weight the advantages and disadvantages of both. It all comes down to personal inclinations when the person decides whether to rent or to own a dwelling. Renting a property is to pay someone else to live in it there dwelling. Pricing is one of the key factors when looking at renting a property. When a person leases a property, they have to put the first and last month’s rent and a security deposit down. If the person destroys the property beyond the normal wear and tear, they will lose their security deposit. They also have a nonrefundable deposit for such thing as a pet, which can range between 200 and 500 dollars depending on the size of the animal. To protect the belongings while they stay in there rental, it is a good idea to purchase renters insurance. The property owner is responsible for all the taxes that must be paid on the property. Selling the house could take a month or more before they can move out of the house. Sometimes the owner can sell their house in as few as a couple of days other time it can take months before the buyers can close on the house. The owner has to deal with people coming and leaving the house all the time for showings. There is also the open houses when the realtors will come and bring prospective buyers to look at the house. While the owner has to find something else to do since they cannot be there.
