Introduction Essay 1 First Draft Authors Joey Franklin and Tanner Barrett are two writers who have written great stories on battling adversity. Not much is known about either author, but much can be seen about who they are through their writing. Carrie is transported to an airport that had a flight waiting to fly to Denver. At first, she knew not why this was happening, but as she landed, she saw herself being checked into the Eating Recovery Center. Reeves knew of her issue of being under-weight but running was more important to her than anything. As she was there over the course of fifteen weeks, she gained about 30 pounds after eating a large surplus of calories. Her mother gives insight as to why she sent her daughter off and how it would impact their relationship. Carrie’s mother knew that no matter what, her daughter’s health was more important than their relationship. After Carrie Reeves returned, she created a social media post to her 400 or so followers, explaining why she had been gone for so long and how she was doing. There was great positivity, and this allowed for her to feel the pressure fall off her shoulders. She
