What was Ethan thinking that night? Why didn’t anyone in the party stop him? Ethan Couch is a teen that made an extremely bad mistake and should be sentenced to jail for what he did. The ”Affluenza team” case has prompted many people to discuss social issues such as irresponsible parents and underage drinking. This article is about a 16 year old boy named Ethan Couch, who murdered 4 people and assaulted 2 people while intoxicated. Ethan went to court and said that he had Affluenza, which is a made up excuse. Ethan Couch was sentenced to court, the court sentenced Ethan to 10 years probation and time in rehab. I vigorously believe that the justice system didn’t handle the case correctly. Ethan Couch shouldn’t have only got probation and rehab. Where are Ethan’s parents while Ethan was driving drunk and having a party? Ethan’s parents are the irresponsible ones letting Ethan be alone, throw a party and drink. The irresponsible parents of Ethan Couch is why it all happened because if Ethans parents were there they would have probably stopped him from drinking and from throwing a party. Ethans parents could have probably prevented the whole accident from happening.
