In 2012 a man had a child in a local medical center in Flint Michigan. Nurses were doing their jobs and taking care of the infant. The man observed an African-American nurse caring for his child and became very upset; so upset that he rolled up his sleeve and showed her a tattoo of a swastika. He asked the hospital staff to make sure that she not be permitted to care for his child. The director of nurses made the decision to comply with the man so that the child could get care.
