Recommended: Racism throughout history

As a society,we humans have made remarkable advancements,but we still have kinks to iron out. It is second nature for us to strive for perfection, solving issues daily, but one issue we can’t get a firm grasp upon is perfecting the subject of equality.Over the course of history, we have overcome our barbaric ways of the past where slavery was prevalent and ventured to the subject of thinking about producing a basic source of income to give to every citizen, striving for this idea of equality.Although this is nice and all, we fail to see that we haven’t taken on certain social issues that really hinder us from becoming an utopia where everyone is equal.Could living in a Posthuman,Inhuman,or modern society lead us to this goal of everyone being …show more content…

Even though these slaves walked, talked, and acted the same as their white masters, they still aren’t defined as human and why is that?It’s because the color of their skin, these slave masters have effectively ruled out that to have brown skin is an inhuman quality. These inhumans are very well known for possessing bad qualities or so we think.In each “superior” human’s mind they think, “When we kill it is done in the name of freedom and is done for the sake of the human. When they kill it is in the name of tyranny or extremism; it is an outrage and is absolutely inhuman(Curtis 434).” This quote completely explains how the mindset of the common slave owner thought back then upon their slaves thus bastardizing them and damning them a lifetime without rights.These occupational thoughts upon these slaves has constituted that to even question equality throughout society in the past is absurd.The past is the past and there is no way to alter the history of it, but what we can do is ratify and amend new rights for everyone to become more equal, and that’s exactly what we have done between the past and the …show more content…

Sure we have advanced in these social issues regarding equality and have even amended laws into the United States constitution to make sure that we don’t revert back to our ignorant thoughts upon some humans being inhuman barbaric,but do we still have some issues we need to tackle to advance our society even more.Some of these issues stand out more than you may think like the capitalistic society us American’s have
