Why do US police keep killing unarmed black men? US police is under a serious controversy after the recent killings of Afro-American men; one in Tursa and another in Charlotte. Police is trying their best to defend their action of shooting the two men down and in this scenario, they have failed to cover the unjustifiable fatal killing of Terrance Crutcher in Tursa as the video of the killing has been aired on news channels which mirrors the reality of an innocent unarmed black man who despite of following the commands of the police, was shot to death. This is inexcusable and a true case of excessive force.

As police brutality against African Americans is increasing, it is very much reminding us of the civil rights movement. Black leaders risked their lives to ensure that all African Americans would live an equal life as white Americans. The racism and discrimination had been unapparent until recent events such as Donald Trump’s campaign being successful and the police brutality against African Americans. “Every 7 hours cops kill an American citizen”. Many times African Americans are targeted.
Police believes they don’t have to respect people of color ,and think it 's okay to mistreat them instead. The officers been discriminating people of color because they assume every african american are criminal and bad. They harass people of color just to make them feel intimidate. The police kill innocent black people and don 't get charged guilty at all. There’s three side of people which is the people who get affected by it, the people who overlooks it, and the people who just don 't care.
There has been so many cases of law officials attacking and even killing young black males based on their ‘suspicions’ of illegal and violent activities. For example: Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Eric Garner and many others have all fallen victim to racial profiling by the police. Another example the movie ‘Fruitvale Station’ which was based on a true story, some black males had an altercation on the train and got off when the police were alerted. Although, they were guilty, all the police saw were black people who immediately fit their profile of crime suspects. So, without question, they were arrested and one was shot and died on the spot.
This is what started the Blue Lives Matter movement, a movement for police officers to be protected. Due to a spike in police deaths the government imposed harsher laws against assaulting, harming, or killing a police officers. The BLM community is concerned because they feel like they are taking a step backwards in the relationships between the community and its people with the local police officers. Lots of people are saying that the movement is unjust because they believe that “All Lives Matter,” but the movement is just simply pointing out that African Americans are being wrongfully targeted and killed. The movement is trying to prove that all of our lives should be equal not one life is better than the
African Americans are twice as likely to be killed by officers while unarmed as Caucasians. Sixty-nine percent of victims were black even though majority of the killing comes from officers guns, forty-two percent of the African Americans that were killed during arrest were not killed by guns. They were killed from kicks to the head or being strangled to death. A black man that is selling CD’s outside a store to provide food for his kids would be harassed and shot just because he is black and looks suspicious. The color of a person’s skin should not lose their life just because they are darker than others.
Another Black man was robbed of his dignity and as a parting gift given his exit from this world. Question: when will the message sink in? As you may know, medicine is a huge economic advancement that we 've had over the years in the United States. However, medicine is not as easily accessible in the state of Africa, which can be a death factor to those who truly need it. While they don 't have as much access to the medicines we use, they have an abundance of herbs and plants there that they use to make their own medicine. They use handmade medicine products made in Africa, that are called traditional African medicine. When I say they have some medicine, It still isn 't quite the best type.
