In The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark by William Shakespeare, the play tells a story of Hamlet the young Prince of Denmark mourning the death of his father and also trying to tolerate the marriage of his mother and his new step-father, his uncle. Hamlet goes through a transformation in order to find out the truth about his father’s death and get revenge on those who killed his father. Therefore, when Hamlet tries to finally get his revenge it is too late because everyone who he has loved is dead and he has become a victim of his own vengeance. This play is written in 1603, to show his audience the true consequences of revenge this play has been rewritten in various ways. In Mexico 2000, there is already a war against the cartels, lead by the United States of America. Shakespeare shows this tension with the young Prince Fortinbras, his anger towards Denmark originates from the killing of his father by Hamlet’s own dead father. Since the new story does not have an angry adolescent pince, it has a DEA agent working on busting the Angel Cartel for more than half a decade. Agent Heminway differs from Prince Fortinbras in an immense way. First, Prince Fortinbras is looking for revenge, while Agent Heminway is looking for justice and to finish his case so he could go home to is wife and kids. Second of all the way that Prince Fortinbras exerts his power and revenge is very disappointing way, arriving after the slaughter that occurred in the fencing duel. Wherever as in the case of Agent Heminway it all ended in an enormous bloodbath where he and another agent only survived the shootout with the cartel in the sting operation. When Juan Angel’s plan flourished, he did not account for the DEA’s involvement. Juan Angel and his men viciously beheaded the boss and burned his body, just as the DEA busted in the compound. Hamlet in the original story only kills two people, Laertes, and Claudius and then proceeded to die from the poison that he drank. But Juan Angel did not go down with only two kills, he took out the boss and seven DEA agents in the processes before being gunned down by Agent Heminway.
