Do you agree or disagree with the quiz results? I agree with the quiz results from the Motivate to Manage survey. My quiz results indicate that I might have high motivation to manage. I am a hard and dedicated worker. I want to be myself and be effective in the process. Rob Grosshandler, of iConsumer, shared, “Leaders step up when things get difficult. This survey asked the question if I have a strong desire to have positive relationships. I believe success happens when collaboration is evident in the workplace. Having a positive outlook and attitude is essential. Marcus Robinson, CEO of Monscierge, indicated “I strive to invest in people, not just employ them.” He makes a point to know where each one of his team members wants to be in life when they finish ‘growing up.” Even if this company isn’t long term for them, it is contributing to the workers achieving their goals. It is hard work. One needs to experience satisfaction from their own achievements and growth. I would need to stimulate enthusiasm, have a willingness to listen to new ideas, and change my attitude when I make mistakes. I am not good at engaging in competition. In the article, “How to manage envy, jealousy, and competition in work, and life”, they made a point to try to limit the amount of negative comparing energy one does so that actual work is getting done. When that happens, one will not care as much about what other people are doing as you will be in the zone (Hustad, 2015).
