The knowledge of Agriculture Extension is to be applied in a social context which is now dynamic and particularly in the context of Ontario. According to the Statistics Canada; about 51% of the population in the Greater Toronto Area is the visible minority (Statistics Canada, 2016). Most of these immigrants are coming from the developing world. They have the different cultural background, ethnicity, different farming experience and education. Each year a significant amount of immigrants start farming activities (including community gardening and commercial farming); even they don’t have any previous farming experience, knowledge about the agricultural extension or even sourcing of new agricultural technologies.
