The documentary “Aileen: Life and Death of a Serial Killer” follows the life and death of serial killer Aileen Wuornos. It goes into detail of her troubled childhood to her final days on death row. Wuronos grew up grew up in an impoverished home in Michigan. By her early teens she’d go on to become homeless and finding her way to Florida. She soon meets a woman named Tyria Moore and with little approval of their relationship from Moores family, they set out on their own to survive. Wuornos, soon set out to find other work, but due to her criminal background and no former work experience. She was continuously rejected. Allegedly after being beaten and raped one night, she committed her first murder of Richard Mallory. By, 1990 Aileen Wuornos, had killed six other men. First, is antisocial personality disorder, this disorder is characterized by a pattern of disregard for other people’s rights, usually starting in childhood and continuing into their adult lives. Wuornos met multiple points of the criteria to aid in a diagnosis of Anti-social personality disorder.
(1) Lack of remorse Wuornos, lived in a fantasy world. She blamed the murders on circumstance on her homelessness or claimed self defense. Wuornos, showed signs of remorse, admitted to killing the men and even apologizing for killing them. she admitted she often looked for a man driving a nice car and would stop and help her, but once she assumed the cameras were turned off, her story would change and she would claim self-defense with had no real intentions of killing any of them. (2) Deceitfulness during her crime, Wuronos used several aliases such as Susan Lynn Blahovec, Lee Blahovec, Cammie Marsh Greene, and Lori Christine Grody to pawn her victims’
