Damsel of Death Females have been killing just as long as men, but their different methods of killing, such as poisoning and smothering victims, allowed them to slip under the radar (Booth 15). Only two women have been executed in the state of Florida. One of those being the world's first women serial killers, Aileen Wuornos. Aileen will forever be remembered by the public for causing such tragedies. Along the way, Aileen started hitchhiking and prostituting and picked up multiple charges of assault, disorderly behavior, and being drunk (Seifert 5). Having such a terrible childhood can lead to having so many disorders and hardships in people's future lives. People do not realize how a rough childhood affects children in such a negative way. The earlier years of childhood are extremely important since that's when you learn most. Aileen started out as a prostitute and she was caught because her love for her girlfriend was so strong. She was trying to acquire justice for all the other women who have been raped. According to T.J. Thomas, people knew Aileen Wuornos as the I-95 man killer. She did not know any of the men she killed, they were all strangers she framed. She killed her first victim in 1989. Richard Mallory is a 51-year-old businessman. Aileen told police that Mallory had beat her and attempted to rape her (Thomas 43-48). She would frame her victims before she killed them.
