Aileen wuornous was born February 29, 1956, in Rochester, Michigan. Aileen was believed to be the first female serial killer in the United States. She had a very Traumatic childhood. Aileen never met her father. He diagnosed with schizophrenia and convicted of sex crimes against children. her father hung his self in prison when she was a baby. Aileens mother left her and her brother to their grandparents when she was only 4 years old. The grandparents legally adopted Aileen and her brother on March 18, 1960. Richard has been shot several times. Together, Aileen and Tyria Moore sold stolen items at Florida pawnshops. During the murder investigations, The only police discovered items belonging to Richard Mallory at a local pawnshop, with a receipt showing aileens thumbprint. Aileen was charged with the first-degree murder of Richard Mallory, armed robbery with a firearm or deadly weapon, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Prosecutors argued Aileen qualified for the death penalty based on the charge of murder committed in the course of a robbery. This was the only murder charge against aileen that went to trial.
