Al Capone was one of the most notorious gangsters of the 1930s and 1940s. The violence that Al Capone was capable of and the fear he invoked in the general public, drastically changed the history of Chicago. This endless list of crimes that Al Capone committed left a deep cut in the history of the United States.

Alphonse Capone was an Italian-American. He was born on January 17th, 1899. His parents had many dreams when they left Italy for America but when they settled in Brooklyn, the Capones found hardship as they lived in a dangerous neighborhood. Capone was born to Gabriel and Teresina Capone. He was one of nine children and three of his brothers also had a gangster background. Capone showed up to a movie theater with guns with his bodyguards he was arrested and went to jail for one year he tried everything to get out of jail which is surprising because he got himself in purposely. Although Al was a criminal mastermind in which was held guilty for many horrifying crimes. He was not charged for any criminal reasons. Instead Capone was found guilty for income tax evasion. Capone was sent to Alcatraz (a maximum security prison) for 11 years on January 6, 1939. Eventually, Capone got out of prison in 1939 left for his mansion on Palm Island in Miami. Capone reached the end of his life on January 25, 1947 due to cardiac arrest. His body was taken to Chicago where there was a large funeral for him with many people
