He was born in Boston, MA to his parents Josiah Franklin and Abiah Folger, he was the tenth son. His father had wanted him to join the clergy, but that wasn’t possible because they didn’t have enough money to pursue that. Since that opportunity didn’t work out he went and became an apprentice with his brother James, he was a printer. At a young age Ben had become very successful.

Franklin exerted a significant influence in shaping the American nation, owing to his reasonable, pragmatic, and intelligent approach to life. His persuasive abilities and power was derived from the ideological principle he had adopted in his life. On August 2, prominent scientist Albert Einstein wrote a letter to president Franklin D. Roosevelt warning about the implications of nuclear technology. In the letter, Einstein stated that extremely powerful bombs could be constructed from radioactive elements like uranium. Einstein also informed Roosevelt that German scientists were already trying to develop such a weapon. Einstein along with other U.S. feared what would happen if Nazi Germany developed an atomic weapon. Two years later, Roosevelt authorized the Manhattan Project in Los Alamos, New Mexico.
