In “The Diary of Anne Frank” the historical events outside of the annex greatly affected the mood people inside. “The Diary of Anne Frank” was copied by Annes father who had made 1,500 copies after she had passed. This play will tell you about how Anne had felt and everything she had gone through during this time. During this was the Holocaust which was a terrible time for the Jews, which was why Albert Hackett had used this young girl's diary to show the feelings of someone really in a troubled situation. This was also during the Nazis invading the Netherlands and World War II. Frankfurt, Germany home of a girl named Anne Frank, who was born on June 12th, 1929. Anne was the most discussed Jewish Victim of the Holocaust, along with her family as they moved to Amsterdam. Anne had written a diary know known as “The Diary of a Young Girl” and is now known as the most widely read and rehearsed books. Anne's family was hiding in the annex to prevent getting captured along with the Van Daan family and Mr. Dussel during World war II. In 1944 the Nazis had changed things, they ended up taking the most capable people of working, back to Germany. This had included Anne and Margot as they were very capable at the time to help. Anne and Margot had passed away in the winter of 1944-1945 and the cause was the Bergen-Belsen. Margot had passed away from falling off her bed onto a hard floor and could not get up, while Anne had just passed away a day after.
