“"Forward, the Light Brigade!" Was there a man dismay'd? Not tho' the soldier knew Someone had blunder'd: Theirs not to make reply, Theirs not to reason why, Theirs but to do and die: Into the valley of Death Rode the six hundred” (Alfred Tennyson). The Charge of the Light Brigade is about 600 brave men who went through “the mouth of hell” against a full army of Russian soldiers only to have little live and many die. Why do this? They're out numbered, out gunned, with no possibility of claiming a victory. No questions asked, and no rebuttal, the noble 600 rode heroically rode into fire only to dig their own grave. Finding one's identity is probably the hardest of all things to do because as humans critiquing is what comes naturally, but most of the time the flaws that are found are directed towards a another person. In a world that is constantly saying “don’t judge yourself” we are forgetting one thing: in order to change the world one must first change themselves. They have to discover their flaws, their positive sides, and their negative sides. This has the potential to be either a very scary thing, or a very eye-opening moment. It takes courage to find a person's true identity because sometimes the findings are not always desirable. Take alcoholics for example their first step in rehabilitation is admitting there is a problem, and instead of letting this problem tear them down they use it to make them stronger. As a person that knows many alcohol-dependent beings it’s easy to say that that it takes bravery to accept who one is, but it’s even more honorable for them to be willing to change. After they decide to make a personal advance they are more likely to be independent people because while the world around them is still trying to figure out who they are that person can be confident in saying that they are a courageous person for opening their eyes to what the world is trying to avoid-
