All Summer in a Day Sequel By: Sophia Taylor. “Did I miss it?” Margot squealed. They let Margot out of the closet. Margot is shy, quiet, and gloomy. She gets bullied a lot by the other third graders, but mostly by Calvin. Calvin is the same age as Margot. Calvin is not the nicest kid; he is very snarky; he doesn't like Margot so he bullies her and all the kids go along with it. This is because Calvin is upset that Margot has been to earth before and Calvin hasn’t. Margot has been seeing the sun for more than just a couple of hours. “Why don’t we tell Margot what she missed while we were outside seeing the beautiful sun”, Calvin rambled to all of his friends. “Stop it, stop it,” Margot cried. “You stop it, you're such a baby and cry about everything. Margot ran, crying. It was the last day of third grade for Margot and Calvin. Margot was so happy to get out of school. She thought, seven more years, seven more years. Seven years have passed by. Margot and Calvin are now in 11th grade, they are still on the planet Venus. Calvin still has been bullying Margot, but it has gotten worse and worse every year. Class was about to start and all the kids were getting in the seats. “Something smells in here and it is coming from the earth kid.” Margot wanted to cry, but she held it in and thought about the sun. The sun comes out every seven years and she didn’t get to see it last time because of snarky Calvin. It was the day that the sun came out and Margot was happy for the first time in a very long time. “Look look”, some kid shouted. “It's the sun,” the teacher said.
